Ruben V. Chavez, Esq
Ruben Chavez is an experienced and highly respected trial lawyer, a reputation he has earned from litigating and trying cases over the past 22 years. He began his career defending corporations and insurance companies while working at some of the biggest law firms in Miami. He was mentored by former President of the Florida Bar, Miles McGrane at McGrane, Nosich & Ganz, P.A. and at Marlow, Connel, et al. before changing sides to fight for the rights of the injured.
In 2017, Mr. Chavez was inducted into American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a select group of trial attorneys only granted admission after a peer nomination from an existing ABOTA member and following a vote of confirmation from present members.
As a young attorney, Mr. Chavez argued cases in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal for the State of Florida (see cases listed below). He has also taken well over 30 civil jury trials to verdict. Mr. Chavez has also litigated and tried civil rights cases under 42 U.S.C. §1983, as well as pursued commercial collections actions in federal and state courts, including claims implicating the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
Mr. Chavez was a varsity letterman in football where he was a standout at running back. He enjoys classic cars (owns a classic Corvette) and spending time with his wife and two children.

Mr. Chavez earned his juris doctor from Loyola University, New Orleans School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
